Q : How do I use my controller wired or wirelessly?

A :  First of all, connect the converter to the console.

  1. Wired : Simply connect the controller to the converter for wired use.

2. Wireless :

2.1 Hold down the Brook Key until the Brook LED fastly flashes red (Pairing Mode)

2.2 Press the SYNC button on the controller for pairing

For PS4 controller, hold down PS+Share until the controller LED flashes for pairing.

Q : Some controllers can only be used wired? Others can only be used wirelessly? And some controllers can be both?

A :

  1. Wired only : None

2. Wireless only : PS4 controller/ Joycon/ Nintendo Switch Pro controller/ Wiimote controller (+ Nunchuck)/ WiiU PRO controller

3. Both wired and wireless : Wii Classic controller/ Wii Taiko/ Wii fight stick

Q : For the controller that can be used both wired and wirelessly, does it have any restriction ?

A :

  1. For wired use, just connect the controller to the converter

2. For wireless use, it has to be used with Wiimote controller. That is, you have to pair the Wiimote controller with the converter first. After that, connect the controller to Wiimote controller to use. You can switch the controllers during use without pairing Wiimote controller with the converter again.

Q : For the controller that can be only used wirelessly, does it have any restriction ?

A :

  1. The Joycon L and R controllers have to be paired one by one.

2. After successfully pairing PS4 controller, hold down the PS key until disconnection so that you don’t need to pair it again for future use. For future use, after plug the converter to console, just press the PS key for reconnection.

Q : How do I cancel all the turbo settings(take joycon as example, refer to button configuration for corresponding controller and button)?

A :

  1. Hold down (Home) + (-)

2. Hold down (+) + (-) to cancel all the turbo settings

3. Press (+) to store the setting.

4. Press (Home) to exit the setting

Q : How do I cancel single turbo setting(take joycon as example, refer to button configuration for corresponding controller and button)?

A : Hold down (Home) + (-) to enter setting mode, then press the button you want to cancel turbo, then press (+) to store the setting; finally press (Home) to exit setting mode.

Q : How do I cancel all remap settings?

A :

  1. Hold down (Home) + (+)

2. Hold down (+) + (-) to cancel all the remap settings

3. Press (+) to store the setting.

4. Press (Home) to exit the setting

Q : How do I cancel single remap setting?

A : Hold down (Home) + (+) to enter setting mode, then press the button you want to cancel remap, then press (+) to store the setting; finally press (Home) to exit setting mode.

Q : Does it support to set turbo or remap to all controllers?

A : Not for the Wiimote controller.

However, if you are using Wii Classic controller or Wii fight stick with Wiimote controller, you can do the turbo or remap setting on the Wii Classic controller or Wii fight stick. You cannot do it with Wii Taiko and Nunchuck, but their setting will be changed accordingly if you do it on Wii Classic controller or Wii fight stick.

Q : Does it work with wireless controller?

A : Brook converter is Bluetoorh wireless connection. As long as the controller has built-in Bluetooth, it can be used wirelessly. Note that it needs to be used wired for the first time.

Q : Why doesn’t my controller LED turn on when I want to use it wirelessly?

A :

  If there’s no reaction with the controller, it has not been connected successfully. Please connect your controller to the converter again.

  After making sure it works wired, unplug it, wait for about 10 seconds, and press the PS key to pair the controller with the converter.

The controller LED should turn on.

Q : How do I cancel all the turbo settings?

Q :  I can't use Astro City mini, SEGA Mega Drive Mini, SEGA Genesis Mini , what can i do?

A : Set to MDmini mode to use on the 3 consoles

A : Technically speaking, you can do that.

However, it can be unstable, or can disconnect since power is only from Switch.

It is still suggested that the converter be connected to Switch dock to use.

Q : When I connect the converter to the Switch dock, Switch suddenly shuts off with a black error screen

A : Before you connect the converter to the Switch dock, make sure you have turned on "Pro Controller Wired Communication" in System Settings on Switch.
